Ship with Magyar Posta without working in the Post's system
The order is already in your shop, yet in many shops it is copied into the MPL system by hand: address, weight, cash on delivery, pickup point. Then comes downloading the label, closing the dispatch list, copying the parcel number back and reconciling COD payments. Every shipping day, the same routine.
The WSC MPL (Magyar Posta) Shipping module brings this routine into PrestaShop. The customer chooses the pickup point at checkout, you submit the shipment from the order or in bulk, the label arrives instantly, and parcel status and COD payments flow back into the shop by themselves.
Please note: the module is built for shops with a Magyar Posta (MPL) business contract in Hungary.
Why it's worth it
📍 Pickup point selection without Google
Checkout shows its own map and list with every post office, PostaPont and parcel locker. On desktop the list and map sit side by side, on mobile they are split into tabs, with the nearest points and their distance. The point list is updated daily from Magyar Posta's official data.
The map is based on OpenStreetMap, so no Google API key and no map usage fee are needed. If the customer doesn't choose a point, checkout won't continue. The chosen point appears on the thank-you page, in the customer account and in the order confirmation e-mail.
📦 Shipments in a few clicks
Submit shipments from the order page, in bulk from the order list, or automatically when an order reaches a status you choose. Multiple parcels, cash on delivery and declared value are supported. The module checks the data before submission and warns you if something doesn't fit, for example a missing mobile number for a parcel locker delivery.
🏷️ Labels instantly, dispatch list with one button
The label is ready right after submission, and you can print labels in bulk from the order list. At the end of the day, close the dispatch list with a single button. If you prefer to work without the API, you can export the selected orders to XML for MPL's Címiratkitöltő software.
🔄 The parcel's journey on the order
An hourly scheduled task queries parcel statuses. Depending on your settings, the order moves to the right status automatically – by default "Shipped" when the Post picks it up and "Delivered" on delivery. The customer receives the "in transit" e-mail with the posta.hu tracking link.
💰 COD you don't have to reconcile in a spreadsheet
The module downloads MPL's COD reports daily and shows next to the order which payment has arrived. Together with the WSC Számlázz.hu module, the invoice is marked as paid automatically. On the COD tab, the COD shipments of the last 90 days can be reconciled in one place.
⚙️ Handling fee and value-based surcharge
Set a handling fee per shipping method and a surcharge based on cart value, so postal fees show up accurately in the shipping cost.
A back office built for busy days
- Setup wizard: five steps through the MPL connection, sender details, carriers, services and automatic submission.
- Buttons at the top of the order: submission to MPL, label and tracking in one place.
- Change pickup point on a map: if the customer asks for a different locker, pick a new one on the map in the back office.
- Address correction on the label: postcode, city, street and phone can be corrected without changing the order address.
- MPL shipments list under Orders, with filters and bulk actions.
- ERP connection: a JSON endpoint for shipment data, without personal data, disabled by default.
Security by default
- The MPL key and secret are stored encrypted.
- Labels and dispatch lists are kept in a protected folder and can't be opened by direct link.
- Scheduled tasks don't run without a secret key.
- Keys, secrets and tokens are masked in the log.
When you don't need it
If you only ship by post occasionally and have no MPL business contract, the Post's own interface may be enough. The module really saves time where several MPL parcels go out every day and pickup selection, labels, tracking and COD need to be in one place, next to the orders.
